Your Three Month SEO Journey

This is the base timeline of your three-month SEO plan. If you invest in additional services such as backlinks, more content, general SEO care, etc., then these services will most likely be shoved in where prudent.

What if I haven't finished everything from month one?

I’m hoping this isn’t the case—but life happens. Your investment doesn’t extend past the contracted amount of time, so please try and get it all done ASAP!

Can I change my services if I don't agree with them?

Unfortunately, for the first three months, the services are set.  There’s a reason for this: We need to create a baseline for everything. We need to dip a toe into various strategies to see if anything bites. You’re very welcome, however, to add additional services.

SEO is a process. It takes time. I’m open to discussions, but I assure you, there’s a method to the madness.

Will I see Progress at the end of these three months?

Possibly! Every market is different and every kind of business is different. However, you should see at least a modicum of change.

However, keep in mind that SEO is a long-game kind of thing. If you’re really hoping for meaningful growth, you’ll want to invest in at least 6+ months of service.

Month One

  • First 24 Hours

    Questionnaires

The first 24 hours, you’ll be sent a questionnaire that asks all of the super important questions.

  • Week One

    Getting Connected

I’ll login to your site and begin setting everything up (depending on how quickly you send me info). I may need you to work through getting connected to the Google Suite.

  • Week One

    Strategy Overview

The first week will involve creating an audit for you, if you already haven’t had one. Then I’ll spend time doing keyword research and a content strategy.

  • Week Two

    Competitor Audit

I’ll create a competitor overview, based on SERP results—not who you think they are. I’ll assess their keywords, best pages, traffic, etc.

  • Week Two

    Sitemap Submission

I’ll make sure your sitemap is submitted to Google Search Console and check for any pages currently not indexed.

  • Week Three

    Home Page Optimization

The timing on this process depends on consistency of communication on your part and how much copy needs to be redone—as well as how much I need to write.

  • Week Three

    Set Up Meeting

Time to set up the first monthly meeting! It’s important to get this on the books ASAP. Make sure to send over any questions you might have, as well as approve any proposed strategies.

  • Week Four

    Monthly Report

I’ll create the monthly report, which we’ll go over together during your monthly meeting. During this meeting, we’ll discuss the following month’s plan as well.

Month Two

  • Week One

    Link Evaluation

I’ll evaluate any broken links (404s), and look at the structure of your site. If it’s filled with blogs, then I’ll look at the internal linking structure.

    Write One Long-Form Article

Based on approved content strategy, I’ll write one long-form article for your blog. If you have any photos you’d like to include, please collect those.

    Write One Short-Form Article

Based on approved content strategy, I’ll write one long-form article for your blog. If you have any photos you’d like to include, please collect those.

If applicable, I’ll optimize one blog/article based on research of your top pages. If you do not have a blog, I’ll optimize a service page.

I’ll audit your Google Business Profile listing(s), and make recommendations. I’ll also look at other listings and see if the information is up-to-date.
